Sikhism like all other major faiths has a vast amount of scriptures both historical and spiritual. The majority of which are found in the original Gurmukhi script but others can be found in Hindi, Sanskrit, Braj, Shahmukhi and Farsi.
What I hope to do with this blog is to translate into English the basic meanings of a number of Granths starting with the Sri Nanak Parkash written by the Kavi (Poet) Bhai Santokh Singh Ji. I will not be giving a historical analysis as this can be heard through the exegenesis of the text by Sant Giani Kirpal Singh Ji Boparai Walae on www.gurmatveechar.com
The translation of the text will be basic and will not contain additional commentary as it is designed so people who wish to read this blog will be able to grasp the basic content of the scriptures.
Also I would have loved to have put the Gurmukhi to each lie from the texts within the blogs however I am struggling to get to grips with the Gurmukhi Unicode and for this reason have just put on the English translation which is numbered so it can be followed along with the Gurbani which is available on www.ik13.com thanks to the seva of Sant Baljinder Singh Ji Rara Sahib Walae
